Riluzole

I was prescribed Riluzole – Rilutor and have been on it for over 2 months now. The doc has prescribed me to take 1 in the morning and 2 in the evening. It is hard to get Rilutor at the druggist stores in Bangalore (and I presume other parts of India as well)

Since I did not get it anywhere, I contacted Sun pharmaceuticals. The good guys at Sun, have sent me Rilutor twice already and the latest shipment should last me till end of Feb-2020. All these have been shipped free of cost and I thank them profusely for making it happen.

I would like to thank Mr Debmalya, Mr Ravisankar, Mr Santosh and Mr Gourav from Sun Pharmaceticals. They have been very helpful and accommodative of my request. They were very responsive and Rilutor reached me within 2 days of correspondence with them. I am putting this information here, so that it can help other MND patients who are struggling to get Riluzole in India.

Updated 3rd August 2023- it’s been 3 months since I’ve stopped Rilutor. However , I see no change . The relentless progression of ALS continues .
