My beautiful dutiful wife has been looking up alternative therapies. Acupuncture somehow stuck. I’m going to the clinic everyday for 30mins to get needles into my body, for the past 2 weeks. It’s too early to pass any judgement, the pricks hurt only slightly (pin pricks!) at the time of needle insertion.
The doctor, prepares my hand and fingers with massage. Needles are inserted to my fingers and palm. The number and location of insertion vary every day. For the past 2 days, bigger needles are inserted on my upper back. It’s not painful. Below are the pictures.
I’ll update more here as and when I see something different. For now, I drive the bike to the clinic which is about 1KM from my home
I am getting this done in Jayanagar 4th Block in Bangalore. Dr Pravin Kumar from Ayushyaa Clinic is very helpful and accommodative of my requests.
[Update 8-Jan-2020] Now the needles are only inserted around the spine, biceps, shoulders and to the head instead of hands. Sittings are alternate days. There was continuous twitching of my left biceps today and a needle was inserted there as well. Dr Pravin has been using larger needles which are silver and gold plated. I should say that my slow speech has improved to a certain extent. It was much slower at the beginning of the year.
